Charles William WORBY, son of Reginald Claude WORBY (1899-1977) and Winifred Mabel CROWE (1898-1954), was born on 4th October 1920 in Bressingham, Norfolk and was baptised there on 11th November 1923. In 1939 he was not found living with his family at the time of the National Registration, so, by then, he is probably with the Welsh Guards, Private 2738160. He died on 2nd August 1944 in North West Europe.
